FACILITIES
The lobby
There is an attractive entrance lobby which has a high atrium and from which are all the main facilities and the toilets
The main hall
This is a space which is 13 metres by 11 metres and is effectively two storeys high. It has 140 chairs and 24 Gopak trestle tables for use by hirers. There is a stage along the long side which is used for drama productions and concerts.
The kitchen
This is a separate room but has a large hatch into the main hall through which refreshments can be served. The kitchen is fully equipped for the preparation of hot and cold food. There is an ‘island’ in the middle of the room providing a work surface.
The small hall (The “Carter Room”)
This is the smaller room, 9 metres by 5 metres, and is light and airy, with windows on three sides. There is a storage cupboard containing 30 chairs and 6 trestle tables, and is suitable for smaller meetings and smaller exercise groups.
The toilets
There are separate toilets for men and women and a toilet for the disabled, with baby-changing facilities.
The car park
There is an extensive private car park with spaces for over 70 cars. In winter evenings this is flood-lit. The car park is for hall-users only.
An enclosed play area.
There is a fenced play area for children thereby avoiding the temptation to play in the car park.
Access for the disabled
All parts of the halls are accessible for wheelchairs
